Our AGM is when we elect or re-elect our trustees, and when we present our financial accounts to our members. We also like to use it as a way to tell you what we’ve been doing, and what’s coming up next, and answer any questions you may have. And while we have an audience, it’s always good to share the platform with local people and groups that have a relevance to our core mission: to make it safer and easier to walk, scoot, cycle, wheel or ride between Frome and the surrounding areas.
This year, our AGM details are:
- Tuesday 2nd May
- 7pm – 9pm
- Frome Town Hall (Chamber), Christchurch Street West, Frome.
We welcome members and non-members to the event, although only members are permitted to vote. To become a member, you only need to sign up for our newsletter (there is no charge). The details are on our Become a Member page.
This year, we will have an update from Emma Parker on the Frome Community Bike Project, which ran a successful crowdfunded campaign in September 2022, and is now working towards setting up a permanent base near the station.
We will also hear from Nikki Brain, Resilience Manager at Frome Town Council, on the recently completed Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan. This plan sets out an action plan for improving the cycling and walking infrastructure in Frome. She’ll explain what it is, how it works and what changes we can hope to see locally as a result.
