Connecting Frome with Radstock and beyond

This is the section which aims to connect Frome with the traffic-free route to Radstock, called the Colliers Way. There are then quiet lanes and traffic-free paths linking Radstock with Midsomer Norton and Bath. Ultimately, these routes will link into the Somerset Circle.

Some of the path has now been built, but there is still about 1km that is “missing”.

What we have achieved so far

Since the map below was created, we have completed Phase 1 (January 2015) and Phase 2 (March 2025). Phase 3 was mostly completed in August 2023, with a small section at the Spring Gardens end still to work on.

What we are working on now

We are now working on the final section of Phase 3, which involves discussions with Network Rail. We are considering how to proceed with Phase 4, and have a number of feasibility studies completed, and outline plans drawn up. Phase 4 will be our most expensive and technically difficult section.
