We’re looking for some one to create a decorative signboards for us, and are seeking a small number of quotes before we commission the work. If you are interested, please contact us at mail@fromesmissinglinks.org.uk.
The brief is as follows:
We are aiming to produce a signboard, based around a map, to show how our new section of route (known as Phase 2), which was completed in March this year, fits into getting around the area and into Frome. Mostly based around the map, it may also include decorative / informative elements (such as the ecology of the area, information on Frome’s Missing Links, ways to donate).
Map of wider area to show:
- Start point of Phase 2 on Elliots Lane
- Where Phase 2 connects with NCN route – Winston, at Colliers Way
- Winston to Frome via NCN route 24
- Elliots Lane to Frome route with warning about busy roads
- Elliots Lane to footpath to Frome for walkers (via Vallis vale)
Should also include:
- Our website and logo, short description of FML
- A sustrans / Walk, wheel, cycle logo
It should be in keeping with our ‘style’, which is (loosely) a modern, clean look, generally using a white background, or pale green elements (matching the green of our logo).
Might also include:
- Illustrations of the flora / fauna of the area
- Parking in the area of Elliots Lane
- End of route in Whatcombe Fields and footpath connection to Spring Gardens
Size:
At the moment, roughly 100cm wide x 50 – 100 cm high. This is a ballpark figure, as it will depend on how we get the sign produced (ie metal sign is probably the most likely, this may come in certain sizes/formats). There is no need to include the cost of production in a quote.
